JOB SUMMARY
As an Estimator at AES, you will be responsible for accurately, efficiently, and collaboratively preparing cost estimates for projects related to trade shows, exhibits, experiential environments, and permanent installations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, expertise in construction materials, and the ability to manage schedules and client interactions.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Estimating the time, materials, and equipment needed for project completion.
● Reading blueprints and analyzing relevant documents to prepare accurate estimates.
● Collaborating with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure precise estimate accuracy.
● Resolving bid discrepancies through data collection and analysis.
● Presenting estimates by organizing and showcasing numerical and descriptive information.
● Identifying cost-effective material and labor solutions for producing or purchasing components.
● Creating, analyzing, and maintaining accurate quantities and thorough take-offs from plans.
● Maintaining meticulous records of tender documentation, including estimates, receipts, and completion documents.
● Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
● Ensuring strict adherence to estimating procedures in tender production.
● Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing additional services like bid deliveries when required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
● Degree or completion of an apprenticeship/vocational school program.
● Minimum of 3+ years of estimation and fabrication experience.
● Extensive knowledge of industry practices and standards.
● Advanced computer skills, including Procore, Bluebeam, Wrike, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
● Experience with CNC, Metal fabrication processes, Fiberglass, Scenic paint, and associated equipment.
● Ability to determine total project costs and price competitive bid packages.
● Formulate contingency plans and manage risks impacting estimates.
● Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Openness to working overtime or weekends when required.
● Honorable Military Service is a plus.
